In less than a year, Deion Sanders took Colorado football from a minor idea to a destination. Although Buffalo lost 42-6 to Oregon State a week ago, momentum around Sanders’ plan is still building.
A year ago, few would have imagined that Colorado would be playing one of the most watched games in three of the first four weeks of the season. Even fewer would have imagined that a Buffalo game would attract some of America’s biggest stars.
A long list of celebrities will be in the building for Saturday’s Colorado-USC game, even though the game is in Boulder instead of Los Angeles. NFL Draft No. 1 pick Caleb Williams is expected to take on Sanders’ Buffaloes, and anyone in attendance is in for a treat.

Some of those celebrities have ties to USC, including the James family. Bronny James will start playing basketball for USC after fully recovering from a cardiac arrest in July. It’s no secret that Snoop Dogg is also a huge USC fan.
Others, however, will be in Boulder to watch the spectacle of Sanders’ plan. Matthew McConaughey is a famous Texas State superfan, but that’s not stopping him from heading to Boulder to watch college football’s hottest coach take on arguably the best player in college football .
Lil Wayne is one of the celebrities close to Sanders. Sanders had the opportunity to visit Colorado’s locker room two months after he was hired and has attended Colorado games in Boulder this season.

Despite the hype, Colorado fell behind by three touchdowns against USC. Concerns about Buffalo’s defense were amplified in Oregon State’s blowout win last weekend, and a quiet day from Shaddell Sanders and the offense only made things worse. However, at least Colorado will have a chance to score against a questionable Trojans defense.
