Celtics’ Jrue Holiday responds to Team USA rumors

Team USA will have a ton of talent heading into the 2024 Paris Olympics. Stars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have all expressed some level of interest in the red, white and blue jerseys. However, the team needs a two-way back who has tremendous talent in chasing down opposing ball carriers. That’s where teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics come into play. Jrue Holiday has reportedly been actively pursued by USA Basketball programs.He reveals the truth and the extent of his willingness to play for the national team his latest statementvia Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports.

“Oh? Well, I haven’t heard anything yet,” Jrue Holiday said of rumors of Team USA trying to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Celtics star was part of an elite squad that won gold at the 2020 Olympics. There, he showed just how lethal he can be on both sides of the court. Across all three levels of scoring, I averaged 11.8 points per game and scored 48.3% of the time. His assist prowess has also been rewarded with an average of 3.8 assists. Finally, his all-around performance allowed him to grab 4.8 rebounds per night.

Holiday isn’t daunted by the prospect of wearing a signature jersey alongside some of his Celtics teammates. “Why not? I want to see what we can do,” is what he said about representing the national team again.
