Chrissy Teigen shed some light on her romantic wedding to John Legend by admitting there was an awkward moment at the altar.

The couple tied the knot on Lake Como in 2013 and recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with a stunning vow renewal in Italy.

However, reflecting on their first ceremony more than a decade ago, the 37-year-old revealed she accidentally gave up the microphone at a crucial moment.

“Something funny happened during our vows: Jonah’s uncle was a pastor, and he officiated our wedding, and I dropped the ring,” she told People magazine. “I, of course, said into the microphone: “Oh, shit!”, and he was a little puzzled by it. He’s like, “It’s Chrissy.”

Well, he’s wrong…

Even though she dropped the atomic bomb in front of all her friends and family, she insisted it was a “cherished memory” of the celebration.

Chrissy’s only regret is that she no longer shows off her moves when Stevie Wonder himself performed their first dance.

“He did our first dance, but I didn’t have a first dance,” she added. “I didn’t really dance because I just… I was too nervous to dance in front of people.

“My biggest regret, rather than a cherished memory, is that I didn’t actually have my first dance.”

Hopefully she managed to release a little more at their second event.

The couple welcomed children Luna, Miles, Esty and Ren together and celebrated their milestone anniversary by renewing their vows last month.

Although we weren’t able to secure a ticket to Italy in time, the cookbook author admitted she was nervous about hosting the ceremony – due to her love of The Real Housewives, where she unwittingly became a sign of a looming split.

“I didn’t want it to be a vow renewal,” she previously told the publication. “I come from the Real Housewives world and vow renewals are the kiss of death, but I thought, ‘Let’s kiss it. Let’s do it.”

“(It was) a lot more emotional than I expected, but it was actually so good. And I just feel so lucky and so happy, and all this in the most banal conditions.”

“My accountant says I can do it every 25 years. But no, I would, but you want to make it special too,” she added after being asked if they would walk down the aisle again to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

“I really don’t like holidays, whether it’s my birthday or anything like that. But I love gratitude and I love thanking the people who have been there for the last 17 years of our relationship. That was everything for me.”
