King finished with 37 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals, including free throws in the final seconds, to put the final tally on the scoreboard as Los Angeles’ best player. It was the second consecutive time the veteran scored more than 30 points.
James’ outstanding performance was related to the previous quarter against Houston, where he established himself as the protagonist of the game. The nearly 39-year-old veteran ended up scoring 13 of the 37 goals.
The Lakers star scored eight points in the final four minutes of the matchup to stave off a counterattack by the Rockets, who tied the score with less than 10 seconds left.
In 40 minutes of playing time, the Kings succeeded in 14 of 19 shots, shooting 73.7% from the field. LeBron is off to a great start this season, averaging 26.4 points in 12 games.
