Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva had hilarious reactions to Bruno Fernandes’ half-time tunnel talk during Portugal’s 2-0 win over Iceland.
Victory for Roberto Martinez’s side took it to 10 wins in 10 Euro 2024 qualifiers on Sunday night.
While the national team may have dazzled on the pitch, it was their half-time antics that made the headlines after the game.
Midway through the game, United captain Fernandes appeared to address the team in the tunnel as they awaited the second half.
In a video that later appeared on X, Ronaldo and Silva can be seen listening to the conversation before turning to each other and giggling.
Nasr striker Ronaldo turned away with a smile on his face, lowered his head and prepared for the second half.
Portugal were one goal ahead thanks to Fernandez’s first-half strike, with Ricardo Horta doubling their advantage in the second half.
Martinez’s side made history with this result as they celebrated a “perfect” qualifying campaign – ten wins in ten games.
Fernandes’ former Manchester United teammate Ronaldo is the second-highest scorer in qualifying, with ten goals behind only Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku.
