Leah Rogers recently returned from her first holiday without her parents in Palmanova, Mallorca. Leah’s mother revealed in an interview with local media that Leah had a sore throat when she returned to the UK. When the pain didn’t stop, they decided to take her to a doctor. “She accidentally overdosed on paracetamol due to taking too many painkillers,” the mother said, highlighting the severe pain Leah experienced in her final days.
Leah’s mother added: “We thought we would eventually see improvement, so we felt a little calmer. But on Tuesday he started having abdominal pain. When the doctors came to see her, they immediately told her she had glandular fever.” Antibiotics were started, but regardless, her condition continued to worsen and the young woman was unable to eat on her own due to pain all over her body. throat.
However, Leah’s condition did not last long and she died earlier than her family expected. “We made the heartbreaking decision to start tapering off the medication. Then they took life support off and she passed away a few minutes later. It was around three in the morning. “We thought we could make it through a few days, but it turned out It turned into hours,” the mother stressed.
Leah’s siblings, Becky and Ben Rogers, shared some of the last messages Leah sent them before her death. In the messages, Leah expressed her sadness at Becky’s absence from the Mallorca trip and hoped to have “lots of other time” to travel together.
