Demi Lovato’s fans are convinced the Australian actress is a “famous woman” with whom the pop star had an affair before writing her 2015 hit ‘Cool For The Summer’.

Demi Lovato admitted on The Howard Stern Show that she wrote her 2015 hit “Cool For The Summer” after dating a “famous woman.”

And now fans think they’ve figured out who the star is, with many thinking it’s Orange Is The New Black star Ruby Rose.

Demi, who recently reverted to she/her pronouns, refused to confirm the identity of the woman on the show, but Lovato’s many fans guessed the Australian star.

“Everyone knows this song is about Ruby Rose,” one fan emphatically wrote under the confession article.

“This is Ruby Rose, lovers forever,” another added.

“It’s 2015 again? We already know it’s Ruby Rose,” wrote a fourth.

“Chronologically it will most likely be Ruby Rose,” wrote a fifth.

Demi made a confession to Howard Stern last week, confirming speculation that the song was about a woman, with sexualized lyrics in the chorus: “Tasted a cherry, I just gotta take a bite.”

The star said she released it before coming out as bisexual, fearing the reaction of her Christian family.

“I released it before I came out as bisexual at the time,” Demi said. “I just grew up in a Christian home and was traumatized in that area.”

“I didn’t want to go out. But when I came out, my (stepfather) said, ‘Yeah, you have a song called Cool for the Summer,’ like… (It’s okay),” she added.

Demi said she told her parents that she was bisexual while flying to the show, and they both responded well.

“I thought I should tell you something and they were like, ‘What is this?’ and I was like, ‘I like girls too,’” she said.

Demi said her mother, whose reaction worried her, didn’t bother her either, saying she just wanted her daughter “to be happy no matter what.”

“I built it up in my head (but no one cared),” Demi added.

Demi confirmed that she didn’t go to the woman she wrote the song about and added that she doesn’t think the mystery woman knows it’s about her.

“I think it would be inappropriate,” she said. “I missed the point, I should have said it then,” she added.

Demi and Ruby are known to be close friends and have often been at the center of dating rumors.

Back in 2013, there were rumors that the couple were romantically involved while Demi was on a break from her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama.

Ruby even tweeted at the time: “I’m like the only person Demi slept with who didn’t sell nude pictures of her.”

But two years later, in 2015, Demi clarified to Complex: “I was not in a relationship with Ruby Rose.”

She added: “I don’t feel like my past or future – when it comes to relationships that may or may not have happened – is of concern to anyone…

“Rumors are rumors and people will spread them. You can believe what you want, but no, I didn’t have a relationship with her.”

Demi previously told InStyle that she is single and open to dating men and women.

She told the magazine: “I’m very mobile and I think love is love. You can find it in any genre. I love the freedom to flirt with whoever I want.”
