Noah Lyles has made a lot of enemies in the NBA after his recent “world champion” rant at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Several NBA players, including Drake, have responded to Lyles’ comments, but is the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James one of them?
In the Reddit post below, “The King” appears to have a lot to say to Lyles on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet is most likely fake as it’s not on James’ official account.
A satirical magazine like Buttcrack Sports would write something like this to attract attention. The fake tweet was hilarious because “LeBron James” used a lot of emojis and was probably drunk on Lobos tequila.
Besides the fact that the tweet is fake, LeBron James may have been too busy to pay attention to Noah Lyles’ comments. The health of his eldest son, Bronny James, is a priority after the 18-year-old athlete suffered a cardiac arrest.
The James family released a statement Friday regarding their son’s health. Bronny is back in class at USC and is expected to make a full recovery, and his family hopes to see him get back on track with the NBA.
“This is an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect that can and will be treated,” the statement said. “We are excited about Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the near future. confidence.”

What did Noah Lyles say that pissed off a lot of NBA players?
Noah Lyles made many Americans proud by winning the 200m gold medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Lyles also won 100m gold earlier in the competition, becoming the first athlete since Usain Bolt in 2015 to win both events at the same world championships.
After winning the 200m gold, Lyles became frustrated with the lack of support for the sport. Armed with a camera for his upcoming Netflix documentary series, the 26-year-old runner took aim at the NBA, accusing the league of calling their champions “champions of the world.”
“The thing that hurts me the most is that I got to watch the NBA Finals and they had the world championship on their head,” Lyles said.
“What are the world champions? I love America sometimes, but this is not the world! We are the world. We have almost every country fighting, thriving, planting flags to show they are represented.”
“The NBA doesn’t have a flag. We have to do more. We have to show the world. I love the athletics community, but we can only do so much within our own bubble. There’s a whole world out there.”
