“The combination of his age, the fragile condition of his back, his recent surgery, and the opioids he took several times a day made Mr. Westcott mentally ill,” according to a complaint published by the Daily Mail. The veteran said he found out about the signature a few days later and tried to unsubscribe via email.

The sale took place just three days after the operation, which lasted 6 hours. Carl Westcott filed a complaint in August 2020.
