Which GOTG character’s origin was rewritten?

Following the events of James Gunn’s latest film in the MCU, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the Gamora actress teased a potential future reunion between her character and Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana once spoke about the possibility of Gamora and Star-Lord reuniting after the events of GOTG Vol 3, saying: “I think the whole Peter thing was bothering her because even though she didn’t remember who he was, she had a feeling that it was it had to be special.” The MCU actress suggests that there may still be hope for a reunion between Gamora and Star-Lord, even if they are just friends in the future.
