Connection between Dwayne Johnson and one of Hollywood’s most famous franchises is rapidly changing. From a stormy relationship with VIN diesel which allegedly kept him out of production for a long time, to a surprise appearance in a post-credits scene in Quick XNow the news has come that Dwayne Johnson will be the focus of one of the new films in the series.
Johnson said – with magazine confirmation Wrapper – who will soon appear in a movie about the character Luke Hobbs. Apparently, the film will not be a sequel to the 2019 spin-off, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shawin which Johnson starred. On the contrary, it will be the next film in the franchise.
In a Twitter video, Johnson said he was overwhelmed by fans’ enthusiasm for the news of his return: “Keeping the news of Hobbs’ return a secret was very difficult,” he elaborated. He then added that he and Diesel “were like brothers for many years”, despite the well-known tension between them.

We will behave like brothers and always find solutions to get along. We will take care of the franchise, the characters and the fans we care about.”

No plot details have yet been released other than what Johnson said about whether the film will be a bridge between the recent Quick X and the next chapter in the main franchise.
