Katherine Heigl And ellen pompeo They probably have a lot to talk about since their separation on television a decade ago, and will in the very near future.

Several more pairings were announced on Saturday, but Kat/Ellen stands out.

The two haven’t spoken publicly in a long time and this is the first time they’ve done so since Katherine left “Grey’s Anatomy” under controversial circumstances.

Fans of the series probably remember this period very well. Katherine asked the audience shonda rimes His contract was to be fired 18 months before it was due. citing the harsh working conditions, which he spoke publicly about at the time. Also, he was just making his debut as a movie star at that time.

Of course she was allowed to go… and her character Dr. Izzy Stevens was written off after 6 seasons. Katherine was a fan favorite and a staple of the series, until she wasn’t anymore.

Since then, Ellen has bluffed a bit when discussing Katherine’s departure — which she rarely did — but in 2013 … she offered a candid review of the saga to the New York Post.

He said in words: “When Katie left, it was tough. You can understand why they’d want to leave when they’re offering you $12 million a movie and you’re only 26. But Katie’s problem is she’s lost her contract. Shouldn’t have been renewed. He re-signed, got a bigger salary and then tried to quit the show. And then his film career didn’t work out.”

More recently, however, Ellen Pompeo praised Heigl for speaking out in the 2010s … while admitting that the hours were grueling and not conducive to a healthy work environment.

There doesn’t seem to be any tussle between the two women. The same can’t be said for Kat and former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ collaborator Isaiah Washington – but people tuning in have no interest in talking about the old days. By the way, the interview has already been filmed.

The episode will air on 15th June… Get ready, popcorn!
