The Undersecretary of General Health Care, Carmen Guerrero, made a technical visit to the General Hospital of Enrique Garces and the Type C Health Center in Guamani, with the aim of supervising and strengthening the health services of these important institutions in the south of Quito.
Enrique Garces Hospital has made progress in the implementation of health care and public health policies to benefit patients, and adopted measures to improve urgent care processes and provide differentiated services for the disabled, geriatrics and pregnant women Initiative status.
When going to the first reception room, he checked that the protocols allowing for the quality of care were being followed. The First Reception Room is a place where people who have suffered some kind of violence are cared for.
He went on to visit the Diabetic Foot Clinic within the health home and emphasized the importance of teamwork in providing comprehensive, individualized and timely care for patients with the disease.

Deputy Minister Guerrero finished his visit to the hospital’s internal medicine, laboratory, X-ray, tomographic scan, pharmacy, operating room, outpatient department, inpatient department and other departments. It validates the strengthening of hospital infrastructure, such as providing preventive and systemic medical services to users.
In addition, the Undersecretary visited the Type C Guamani Health Center in the south of Quito. She went to emergency rooms, maternity centers, rehab centers, x-rays, labs, pharmacies, and outpatient clinics. He listens carefully to the experiences and needs of health personnel and users.
Carmen Guerrero was pleased with the apparent progress of the institutions visited, recognizing the excellent work done by all medical and administrative staff. He endorsed the commitment of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) to expand support and strengthen health entities to guarantee access to comprehensive and timely medical care.
