The 2023 award nominees have been announced. Emmy Awards: happy to find inside them Entergalactic From Baby Cudie AND Dear Mom on Tupac AND Afeni Shakur.
We can only rejoice in this.
At the Emmy Awards, we’ll be rooting for Entergalactic and Dear Mama!
The Emmy Award is the most important television award in the United States of America, but not only, considered the equivalent of the even more famous and anticipated Oscar.
Its 75th issue will take place on September 18, 2023, and for several days now, a large number of categories and their respective nominations can be found on the emmys.com website.
Among all the series, programs, reality shows and industry insiders, two names immediately caught our attention: Entergalactic AND Dear Mom.
The first is an animated film (originally planned as a TV series) created by Kid Cudi with producer and television director Kenya Barris and nominated in this category. Outstanding Animation Program.
The second, however, is a multi-part documentary focusing on Tupac’s relationship with his mother, Afeni, and we find it among the nominations in the category. Outstanding Nonfiction or Non-Fiction Series.
It is difficult for both projects to win, but to see them among the nominations is a victory that pleases us.
