Eric Trump on Friday criticized the Trump family’s ongoing civil fraud trial in New York, saying he and his brothers are victims of their father’s trial and are suffering collateral damage from that trial.

His comments come after he finished testifying for two days in the trial investigating the family’s business practices. His testimony followed former President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

“They dragged me and Don and Ivanka into this thing as sort of collateral damage,” Eric Trump told reporters after his testimony, NBC News reported. “They just want our names in this thing because it makes the issue hotter.” “We didn’t do anything wrong.” Absolutely”. “We have a better company than they could have ever imagined.”

The New York judge who oversaw the trial ruled last September that the former president, his sons and the Trump Organization committed fraud by exaggerating the value of their assets.

Echoing his father’s rhetoric, Eric on Friday called the case a “political witch hunt.”

He also criticized New York Attorney General Letitia James for filing a $250 million lawsuit against the Trump family and the Trump Organization.

Eric Trump said, “What the state of New York is trying to do to my father is truly terrible. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The former president and leading Republican Party candidate will testify on Monday.

Ivanka Trump is also expected to testify next week.
