On Friday night (October 20), Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz performed their new collaboration track called “Presha” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” After the performance, they announced that they would be releasing a sequel to their first album together. ColleGrove. ColleGrove 2 will be released on November 17th.
Fans of the Young Money chief immediately questioned why he would be releasing an album on the same day as his YM signee Nicki Minaj, who will also be releasing her highly anticipated full-length album. Pink Friday 2 November 17. Social media users had a lot to say after the announcement of a joint album between Wayne and 2 Chainz appeared online.
One fan wrote on Instagram: “I was on Limewire at midnight in high school just waiting.” Meanwhile, another comment said: “Why couldn’t he wait? Give her space to be alone and then leave. An ambitious fan even exclaimed, “Imagine a YMCMB reunion tour. Drake, Nicki and Wayne, omfgg.”
While Minaj’s album has been Barbz’s talk, she’ll now be going head-to-head with the YM president on its release day. This week, the Anaconda host shared a rousing remix of Drake and Chief Keef’s “All The Party” called “For All The Barbz.”
The exciting new freestyle proves Nicki is in good shape ahead of her latest project. She made headlines after mentioning the popular OceanGate story earlier this year. In her new verse, she raps, “These bitches don’t wanna smoke. Say no to vaping. I make these bitches climb when I drop the bait. One submarine will kill five bitches, OceanGate, yeah.
As this line hints, every time she says something on social media that could be perceived as a diss, people try to piece together who the dig is being made against.
