Ferrari paid tribute to New York City with a three-day exhibition in the public plaza and gardens of Hudson Yards, culminating in an exclusive charity auction, further demonstrating Maranello’s significant long-term commitment to supporting education. The success of this initiative is largely due to the large Ferrari community, which always responds quickly and generously in every corner of the world, contributing to the company’s charitable activities.

The main character of the evening is the Ferrari 812 Competizione Tailor Made.

Lots up for auction, ranging from sports cars to racing cars and lifestyle collections, were auctioned off during the event, where the Tailor Made Ferrari 812 Competizione particularly shone. The design of the car, one of only 999 examples built, is characterized by hand-crafted lettering inspired by the drawings of Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s chief designer. The result is a combination of dimensions that makes the award-winning V12 engine model special among Ferrari special editions. A one-of-a-kind car that turned heads and attracted a huge number of bids, reaching a hefty final total of $5.1 million. Other items such as the Amalgam scale 812 Competizione, Montblanc Stilema SP3, a lifestyle accessory created in one body and a unique Formula 1 experience also exceeded expected estimates.

The funds raised will be used for charitable purposes in the field of education, a path begun by Enzo Ferrari himself, who exactly 60 years ago contributed to the creation of the Alfredo Ferrari Higher Institute in Maranello. “The evening in New York was special for Ferrari and reinforced the strong bond between our company and America,” said John Elkann, Chairman of Ferrari. “Our clients’ passion and knowledge of the Prancing Horse and its history are unmatched. We have many common values: a love of innovation, a desire for progress and a competitive spirit. We also share a sense of community and a desire to share our successes by giving something back to the community.”
