Finestkind and Quiz Lady among planned new films

The Toronto Film Festival has announced new titles planned across various sections, and films also include Finestkind with Jenna Ortega and Quiz Lady with Aquafina and Sandra Oh.

Also among the projects arriving at the Canadian event are new films featuring Dakota Johnson, Berenice Bejo, Aquafina, Sandra Oh and Mads Mikkelsen.

New films planned

So among the titles featured at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival in the Gala section is Finestkind directed by Brian Helgeland and starring Jenna Ortega, Tommy Lee Jones, Ben Foster and Toby Wallace.
Also added to the special presentations was Daddio, Christy Hall’s debut film starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn. The film is about a woman who tells a taxi driver about the most important relationship in her life.
The section will also feature the world premiere of The Quiz Lady, directed by Jessica Yu and starring Sandra Oh and Aquafina.

In Toronto from 7 to 17 September, Italian cinema will not be lost either: after all, Edoardo Gabbriellini’s “Holiday” will be among the world premieres. The synopsis for the project, also produced by Luca Guadagnino, is as follows:
Veronica, after a long trial and two years in prison for the murder of her mother and lover, is found not guilty. He is only twenty years old and has his whole life ahead of him, but it is difficult to look into the future when all eyes are still on that tragic event. Through the memories of her and her best friend Jada, we rewind the tape of a story that the more it advances, the more unsettling it becomes.
