A meeting at which a petition will be handed over to the heads of state of San Marino, joined by five hundred residents of the area, in which they express their concerns about invasive interventions in the natural area, with the hope that the building will remain public. “Despite the requests of the population for rethinking and ignoring all alternative use projects and all recreational and cultural initiatives that had their core in this area,” the committee says, “the government is giving itself another extension, a third, to negotiate terms with the private person to whom it intends to provide it. Since “we consider it completely wrong to steal this territory, which has great ecological, historical, social and associative value, from the inhabitants of Citta Castle and all of San Marino, we requested and obtained a meeting with the captains regents.” .
The Public Committee for the Protection of the Former Skeet Shooting Range was established last May in response to the need to protect valuable naturalistic grounds and to support the public use of the former Skeet Shooting Building. “Despite the negligence of various governments that have not renovated the building,” recalls the committee, “this is the site of the Giunta youth association, this is a space for the inclusion of the disabled, this is a place chosen by various associations. for cultural activities, socialization and rediscovery of the territory. The residents of the area, as well as those who visit the building, want “the area to remain a common asset accessible to all San Marino residents.
