In a new video that captures some scenes filmed on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux, Lady Gaga can be seen singing as Harley Quinn.
Lady Gaga will be Harley Quinn in the sequel to the cinecomic directed by Todd Phillips, Joker: Folie à Deux and in the new video from the set we can see the artist perform a song, reflecting one of the rumors about the film, namely that it was also partly a musical!

In the guise of harley quinnthe artist Lady Gaga in the video released on social media he is shown singing: it is a matter of a few seconds, but the most attentive have recognized the words of a famous song – We’re a Couple of Swells – from the 1948 film Easter Parade. The film, from the little news on the plot spread, will pick up where the first one ended Joker: Arthur Fleck/Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) is imprisoned at Arkham Asylum, where Harley Quinn should also be imprisoned, who in the film will not be a penitentiary psychologist, but a criminal.
The video released on social media shows Lady Gaga sing the famous song brought to the screen by Fred Astaire and Judy Garland, both dressed in rags while referring to themselves with the term “swells”, a word for a wealthy person in early 1900s New York. In the film, the couple cannot travel to a rich party because they have no means of getting to the party venue. The song highlights Arthur Fleck’s frustration with the society he and Harley live in and will never be swells for. The film’s musical breakthrough was announced by Todd Phillips and will underline even more the descent towards madness of the protagonist.
Furthermore, it had already been anticipated by some song-and-dance sequences from the former Joker, like the one where Arthur Fleck dances alone in the bathroom. The composer will take care of the film’s soundtrack Hildur Guðnadóttir and music will play a major role in the film, scheduled for release in theaters in October 2024.
