Mail Sport has launched several WhatsApp channels to give you the latest news about teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool directly in your app.
You can also check out our brand new channels on Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi by clicking on the relevant links below.
Unlike personal chats, you cannot reply to messages. However, you can react using emojis to see which posts elicit the most reactions.
The people you choose to follow are private and cannot be seen by other followers. Once you join – be sure to click on the bell icon on your screen to turn on notifications.

The channel will appear under the Updates tab in the WhatsApp app.
On iPhone, it’s at the bottom of the screen next to Chat, Calls, and Communities, while on Android, it’s in the middle at the top of the screen.
Unlike personal chats, channels are a “one-way broadcast tool.”
To follow Mail Sport on WhatsApp channel:

- If you don’t see channels in WhatsApp on your device, try updating WhatsApp through the App Store. Then you need to close WhatsApp and open it again.
- After joining the channel, Make sure to click the bell icon at the top of the screen to receive notifications. (You can always turn it off later).

Moderators will send updates to everyone who has opted in to receive messages, whether text, photos, videos, stickers or polls.
For privacy reasons, the channel admin’s phone number and profile photo are not shared with those who receive updates.
Likewise, following a channel will not reveal your phone number to moderators or other followers.
WhatsApp channel messages are only stored for 30 days and then deleted.
Meta first announced Channels in June, when it initially launched in Singapore and Colombia.
However, it is now available in more than 150 countries, including the UK and the US.
“If you’re new to channels, our goal is to create the most private broadcast service possible,” WhatsApp explains.
“Channels are separate from your chats and the people you choose to follow are not visible to other followers.
“We also protect the personal information of administrators and followers.”
WhatsApp added: “This is just the beginning and we will continue to add more features and expand channels based on user feedback.”
