But there seems to be another reason for the whole situation. Gilbert Arenas brings that to the forefront.in the latest episode Gill Arena, The former Warriors star said, “There are more killers today saying, ‘We’re not going to be afraid of one guy. He’s going to have to protect me, just like I have to protect him.’ “It just lets us know that you were all mentally vulnerable at that time.”

Arenas pointed to the example of Kobe Bryant to clarify some things. During the MJ era, anyone preparing to fight “his air” was warned not to look him in the eyes because he would kill you. But not the “Black Mamba.” He walked right up to him and looked him in the eye as he was cut from the same cloth. So for players from the Jordan era to say they were afraid of him shows their mentality.

Joining the “Shaq Fu” podcast is Mario Chalmers, who played alongside James on the Heat and won two championship rings with James. Chalmers seemed to agree with O’Neal, but further clarified that it’s precisely because LeBron has been through so much that he wants to be liked. So, that’s how you take the fear factor out of the Lakers superstar’s image.

Surprisingly, Kenyon Martin had similar thoughts. He said James is very competitive on the court, but there is more to a person than just his character as a player. His relationships with his teammates, locker room chemistry and more. In short, the Akron Hammer is “a lovable guy and a lovable teammate.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time they’ve had this conversation, although the reactions have been different.

Arenas has already experienced LeBron James’ fear discussions

Exactly a year ago, in a March episode, Gill, Josiah Johnson and Brandon Jennings reunited to discuss Chalmers’ assessment of LeBron James. The Heat guard once said no one fears LeBron as much as they fear Jordan. When people of that era talked about going up against NBA legends, there was fear in their eyes. That’s something you won’t find on Bron today.

Interestingly, Arenas seemed to agree with Chalmers at the time.“That’s right…the fear comes from the guy’s ability as an offensive player.” He said. “Guys who have the ability to score 30 to damn 70 points, they’re scared. LeBron James is an all-around player. Even if he gives you 40 points, it’s not like Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant Or 40 points like Michael Jordan.”

But he did point out that just because players aren’t afraid of LeBron James doesn’t take away from his greatness. This man made history by becoming the first NBA player to score 40,000 points!
