Have you seen the Posh and Becks documentary “The Beckhams”? I thought I couldn’t care less about these two – I mean, I wish them all the best, but I don’t know much about them – but man, this is an example of how to make a documentary shine. It’s fast-paced and tense, the surprises keep coming, your heart will bleed from the harassment Beckham suffered on the football field, and their love story rings true. Also, the technique of filming people looking straight into the camera while watching old clips or games is amazing – you’ll see their eyes water or sparkle, their faces soften or freeze. It’s a masterclass in documentary filmmaking – and did you know the director is our old friend Victor Hugo?
One day Jenny made a slightly modified chocolate mousse recipe. She bought freeze-dried strawberries from Trader Joe’s, processed them into a powder in a mini food processor, and sprinkled them over the mousse and whipped cream. So sour! so good!
Party expert Priya Parker recently asked people about party dress codes, and here’s @movingpresence’s response: “I once had an ‘unsexy’ birthday party where I invited all my friends to dress as unattractively as possible. Some friends Can’t do it (what they call “unsexy” is really just “sexy with disheveled hair”), but other friends do it! Sagging bras, toothpaste stains, guys in thermal underwear pulling too high, even for Bad haircut for the occasion! It freed up a lot of energy at the party and allowed us to break away from the typical presentation masks we all wear and have deeper connections and deeper laughs. Honestly, this was probably the one I hosted Best party ever.” If I were invited, I might wear my bacon egg cheese Halloween costume again?
What would you like to wear to dinner? Most importantly, I feel beautiful in this sweater. The icy blue is perfect for colder weather, and the knitted texture and slight cut make it fall beautifully. (This blue also looks great.)
