Anyone who has left a small provincial town to move to a big city knows perfectly well the feeling that Jonny Johansson wanted to recreate to present the next Acne Studios autumn/winter season. Described by Vogue as a «nostalgic exploration of the world of nature seen through a citizen’s lens», the collection was staged at dusk on March 1st in the enchanted forest that the creative director, as a child, believed extended beyond the courtyard of the his country house in northern Sweden.
Now Johansson lives in Stockholm and, like many, accuses the effect of the media, social networks and technology on human life: hence the «almost apocalyptic» denunciation given by a collection made up of wrinkled, torn, handcrafted leather clothes, and even made of leaves, worn by primitive and at the same time metropolitan fairies. Meanwhile, in the parterre, Gaia and Barbie Ferreira completely captured the attention: icons of Gen-Z and muses of the Swedish brand, they wore two outfits that seem impossible to forget.

To attend the Acne Studios autumn winter 2023/2024 presentation, Barbie wore a gray and nude suit consisting of a short blazer and a pencil skirt with a back slit. To characterize the set are, in particular, the fastenings like those of the bustiers that seem hand-painted on the sartorial fabric. Long braids created from a low ponytail, sunglasses with upside-down lenses, pointed earrings, a silver padlock chain, a handbag with a shoulder strap with the same punk influences and square-toed wedge sandals completed the ensemble. To take care of the image of the American actress is the stylist Chris Horan, who also follows Charli XCX.

Gaia, longtime ambassador of the fashion house and muse of creative director Johnny Johansonn, also attended the Acne Studios show staged at dusk on March 1st, the second day of the Paris fashion week. The ALMA singer wore an XXL pinstriped blazer with destroyed shoulders, which she paired with a pair of pleated white palazzo pants. As a top, Gaia the Italian-Brazilian artist has focused on a garment that, just like Gigi Hadid’s skirt, totally reflects the three trends of the moment – lingerie, boudoir, bouquet: a balconette bra with two red roses as nipple covers. Red lipstick, chunky chockers with 90s notes and large silver jewels completed the picture.
