US gossip site TMZ claims that “sources familiar with the facts” told the newspaper that all members of the family – Gigi, Bella, Anwar and their parents Mohamed and Yolanda – are “fearing for their lives”.

According to TMZ, Gigi and her family had to change their phone numbers due to the threats, but sources close to the Hadids said the terrible and threatening words reached the family via email, social media and even phone calls because their numbers phones would have been leaked online.

FBI intervention
Real estate entrepreneur Mohamed, Gigi Hadid’s father, is considering asking the FBI to open an investigation into the incident. The American model expressed her support for the Palestinian people over the weekend, posting an Instagram story in which she wrote: “There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government’s treatment of the Palestinians. Condemning the Israeli government is not anti-Semitic, and supporting the Palestinians does not mean supporting Hamas.”

In response, the Israeli government published a commentary in which it wrote: “There is nothing courageous about the Hamas massacre of Israelis.” Condemning Hamas for what it is (ISIS) is not anti-Palestinian, and supporting the Israelis in their fight against barbaric terrorists is the right thing to do.” The State of Israel account then directed Gigi’s comments, tagging her account and writing: “Did you sleep last week?”
And again: “Your silence very clearly reflects your position. We see you.” The Israeli government posted an image of what appeared to be a bloody floor next to children’s toys and wrote: “If you don’t condemn this, your words mean NOTHING,” again tagging Gigi.
