Guest in Residence, the luxury cashmere brand recently launched in the US by top model Gigi Hadid, is making its first appearance in France. On Tuesday, September 26, the brand is opening a pop-up store at Le Bon Marché, a Parisian department store on the Left Bank of the Seine.
Guest in Residence (or GIR to fans) launched in fall 2022 and is known for its casual-chic style, inspired by the groovy aesthetic of the 1970s and in line with the current trend for quiet luxury. Le Bon Marché will be the brand’s first store in France.
The pop-up store is located in the department store’s modern design space on the ground floor and will be open until October 23rd. It features the brand’s wardrobe staples and the new autumn/winter 2023 collection, which includes an ivory cropped cardigan. , colour-blocked striped rugby jerseys, a royal blue button-down polo shirt, a pair of gray sweatpants and a powder pink vest are the brand’s flagship product, priced at €530.
“The new collection is inspired by the psychedelic art movement of the 1970s, drawing on visual art exhibitions, graphic motifs, patterns and fabrics typical of those years,” Gigi Hadid told FashionNetwork.com. “We really wanted to convey a unique energy and free-spirited spirit that changed perceptions and pushed boundaries,” she added.
Guest in Residence’s first entry into France is part of the label’s ongoing plan to expand its international retail presence. With women’s and men’s collections sourced from Inner Mongolia, Guest in Residence has recently gained a presence in various high-end retailers.
“The brand is expanding its presence from the direct-to-consumer channel to wholesale (with Le Bon Marché as the exclusive partner in France) and intends to continue to focus on partnerships with leading retailers and online stores around the world,” Hadid said. , who is the co-host Next in fashion series on Netflix and starred in Jacquemus’ fall campaign.
