At 40, acclaimed superstar Anne Hathaway admits she’s in the best shape of her life and aging isn’t on her mind at all.
In his role as the newly appointed Shiseido Global Ambassador Anne Hathaway explained that when people comment that she looks good “considering her age,” she views it as a somewhat indirect compliment and prefers not to receive such comments.
“I don’t think about age,” she said in a new interview with the publication Today. “To me, aging is another word for life. So if people want to give a compliment, that’s nice. But whatever the hype, I’m interested in what goes beyond the concept of hype.”
Moreover, she not only became more compassionate towards herself, but also extended that same compassion to others. She also noted that she became more adept at sharing.
“I’m at the point now where I have a much better idea of how I like to do things,” she added. “I’m much better at sharing. “I feel like I’m kinder to myself and kinder to others.”
In an interview with Magazine “People”According to Hathaway, it took her three years to fully recover from childbirth.
The Princess Diaries actress, who shares two sons Jonathan, seven, and Jack, three, with husband Adam Shulman, refused to “come back” after her pregnancy.
“People don’t talk about it, and it actually made me feel better when I found out about it.”
Hathaway went on to say, “For my second son Jack, it took every minute of those three years. Let your body be the body. There’s nowhere to go.”
Nearly a decade ago, the actress decided to abstain from alcohol to prioritize “self-care.”
“When I was in my thirties, I had to give up alcohol,” she said. “I couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t have the life I wanted while I was drinking.”
“And in my forties, I found that I had to eat differently.”
“I want to go back and talk to my 25-year-old self who felt like she didn’t have to do anything and just say, ‘Oh, honey, honey, there’s a whole other world out there and it tastes like avocado.’
If anything, Hathaway not only fully embraces every stage of her life, but also confidently takes responsibility for it without any apology.
