Hi Manuela, welcome to Radio Una Voce Vicina InBlu. How are you?
A thousand thanks! I have to say well!
What is behind your stage name, the nobleman?
lanobile is the contraction of my name and surname: Manue(la) Gian(nobile). In addition to this, however, there is also an emotional discourse linked to my surname, which I wanted to take with me, to keep my father – who unfortunately is no longer here – as close as possible.
With only three words or adjectives at your disposal, how would you describe yourself today to introduce yourself to our readers and listeners?
A melancholic, dreamy and stubborn artist!
Tell us about the genesis of your new single”goodbye”?
“goodbye” is the third single that I release with my label Lost Generation Records and it talks about a relationship that didn’t exactly end well inside a car which, a few months earlier, was instead the symbol of this love story. The piece therefore arises, as always, from sad and melancholy moments in my life, but also from my obsessive search for this melancholy.
As for the sound, even in this song we find dreamy sounds. What are your main references when it comes to this particular musical universe?
Definitely Cigarettes After Sex, d4vd and Billie Eilish, but also Italian singers like Mahmood.
How much and how did the Roman environment influence your project?
Quite, even though I’m a pretty lonely and self-focused person.
“goodbye” anticipates a new album of unreleased? Can you tell us something about your next projects?
It’s still a bit early for the album, but we’re already starting to dream and create it together with my label. More singles will be released soon and as always they will be dreamy, but there will also be some surprises in terms of mood.
