Harry Potter meets Barbie in a colorful and hopeful crossover.

The main characters of “Harry Potter” are transformed with the help of new drawings created by artificial intelligence, which represents them in the pink world of Barbie. Based on novels by writer J.K. Rowling, the first Harry Potter film was released in 2001 and introduces audiences to Harry played by Daniel Radcliffe, Ron played by Rupert Grint and Hermione played by Emma Watson. The three actors would later appear in seven sequels to the sprawling story, featuring a number of supporting characters and villains.

Now, shortly after the release of Barbie, a new AI-generated work shared on Instagram by AI Dreams presents the world of Harry Potter colliding with the world of Mattel toys. Take a look at the art below:

Dressing all the characters in hot pink costumes, the image carousel is presented from left to right: Draco, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall and Voldemort.
How can it be a cross between Harry Potter and Barbie?

The worlds of Harry Potter and Barbie are unlikely to collide with each other in the future, but the latest batch of AI-generated artwork definitely suggests it would be fun if it did. One of the biggest challenges to face at such a crossroads will be what the world of cinema will look like. Characters aside, the main reason for the success of the saga is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with the early films in particular evoking a childlike sense of wonder that becomes more mysterious and mature as the films progress.

Any cross between the two sagas must retain aspects of the Harry Potter world to truly do justice to the original story. Interestingly, one aspect that both sagas have in common is the idea that there are secret worlds within us where different kinds of creatures live. Since platform nine and three quarters serves as a portal to the magical world, Harry, Ron and Hermione are able to discover a portal similar to Barbie Land.

From there, the crossroads can come to life: Margot Robbie as Barbie will be introduced to the world of magic, and Harry and his friends will discover this mysterious pink land. The Harry Potter villain Voldemort may even be the main antagonist, returning to threaten both the wizarding world and Barbie Country. Despite the funny mix of Harry Potter and Barbie, the two sagas are of course very different and should probably remain separate.
