Rihanna steps down as CEO of Savage x Fenty and welcomes a new CEO.

In a statement to Fashion Affairs on Friday, the “Diamonds” singer said that Hilary, the former CEO of Anthropologie Group, will lead the super lingerie brand, with a transition expected on June 26.

According to Vogue Business, Rihanna will continue in a leadership role as CEO.

“I am deeply grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Soper as our new CEO,” said Singer. “She is a strong leader and focused on taking the company to the next level.”

Rihanna, who is also the CEO of Fenty Beauty, founded Savage x Fenty in 2018. Brand made her modeling debut during New York Fashion Week in the same year. The following year, another fashion show took place during New York Fashion Week and was featured in the Amazon documentary, The Savage x Fenty Show Volume 1. Rihanna performed during the show, as well as Big Sean, Migos, Halsey and others.

The brand is known for its inclusivity with models of all sizes and diverse backgrounds.

Rihanna said in 2018, “It’s a celebration of femininity.” In a Vogue magazine interview, she talked about that year’s show. “I think it is a shame for women to feel insecure or ashamed of their body shape. Society has taught them that only one thing works.”

According to Forbes, Savage x Fenty is expected to be worth $1 billion in 2021.

“It’s amazing to see the impact our vision for Savage x Fenty has had on the industry on such an incredible scale over the past five years,” Rihanna said in her statement to Vogue Business on Friday. “This is just the beginning for us and we will continue to expand the ways we will always be connected to the consumer.”
