It is increasingly common for doctors and pharmacists to encounter patients who require certain antibiotics because of information they read on the Internet. This is a challenge especially when the required drug is used to treat a condition for which antibiotics are both inappropriate and ineffective.
Account X (Twitter) has proven this angry pharmaceutical companiesshared a video of a woman attacking a pharmacist who refused to give her son antibiotics without a prescription.
symptom. “Yesterday I had an argument with the girl at the pharmacy because she didn’t want to sell medicine to my two-year-old son in Spain,” the mother first introduced the video, while explaining that her son suffered from gastroenteritis and a viral infection for three days . Causes a lot of runny nose, phlegm, and cough.
Medical advice. The woman went to the emergency room and was told there was no medication prescribed for the symptoms her son was experiencing. Not only that, they also advised him to take paracetamol to reduce fever, drink plenty of water to relieve cough, and follow a white diet to treat gastroenteritis.
