Current Tigre defender Kevin Lomónaco has been sanctioned by FIFA in a case initiated by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) involving the manipulation of 11 players in the Brazilian league competition and is banned from participating in the event until May 2024.

Lomonaco, 21, was involved in a sports betting case while a player for Red Bull Bragantino, which resulted in him being banned for a year in the neighboring country.
The Brazilian court requested cross-border penalties from FIFA, which took effect on Monday, and FIFA informed the results of the penalties.
The current Tigre defender, who joined on loan with an option to buy in the last transfer market, appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS).
Javier Mascherano, the footballer mentioned during the last training session of the Under-23 national team, admitted in a video by the Goiás state prosecutor’s office that he had been charged for intentionally eating during the match against Mineiro America received a yellow card and received a sum of money. Tigre will therefore not be able to count on Lomonaco for next Friday’s fourth round match of the Professional League Cup against Estudiantes of La Plata.
