He was sanctioned by FIFA and cannot compete until 2024

Current Tigre defender Kevin Lomónaco has been sanctioned by FIFA in a case initiated by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) involving the manipulation of 11 players in the Brazilian league competition and is banned from participating in the event until May 2024.

Lomonaco, 21, was involved in a sports betting case while a player for Red Bull Bragantino, which resulted in him being banned for a year in the neighboring country.

The Brazilian court requested cross-border penalties from FIFA, which took effect on Monday, and FIFA informed the results of the penalties.

The current Tigre defender, who joined on loan with an option to buy in the last transfer market, appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS).
