When Margot Robbie talked about Lady Gaga playing Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie A Deux

In the upcoming film Joker: Folie A Deux, Robbie will be replaced by Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Speaking to MTV News, Margot shared that she is very excited for Lady Gaga to play Harley Quinn.

The Barbie actor said: “I’m so happy because from the beginning I said all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of these characters, just like Macbeth or Batman always goes from great actor to great actor ”

Robbie explained: “It’s like someone playing their Batman or someone playing their Macbeth. I don’t think it’s very often that it’s female characters – Queen Elizabeth I – but other than that I got to laugh too, which was a great honour. I thought, “Wow! Cate Blanchett played Queen Elizabeth I. Now I’ll get to it.” I’m honored to have laid such a strong foundation that Harley can now become one of those characters that other actors can try to play. And I think she’ll do something incredible with it.”

Earlier this year, Margot Robbie received acclaim for her film Barbie, which broke several records. The film also featured Ryan Gosling as Ken.
