Chrissy Teigen opened up to E! News about her “one big regret” about marrying husband John Legend in 2013.
The 37-year-old multi-figure, who just renewed her vows with Legend, told the publication that she wished she could write her promise to her husband for the first time.
“I really regret it,” she admitted while discussing their recent celebration of ten years of marriage.
The couple and their four children – Luna, 7, Miles, 5, Esty, 8 months, and Ren, 3 months – flew to Lake Como in Italy earlier this month for their extravagant second wedding.
“We were like, well, we’re going to rewrite them and say them because I have a big problem with not writing my own vows (in 2013) because I was so nervous and unsure of myself and all that stuff.” , so I don’t,” Teigen said.
Reflecting on the special anniversary trip, Chrissy added: “So, if anything, it was a chance to redo it and be with the people we love, and it worked.”
The cookbook author also revealed that she and John were excited during the romantic family vacation.
“I looked at him and it was like his eyes were filled with water,” she recalled. ‘It was amazing. It was so beautiful.”
The Sports Illustrated cover star recently took to social media to reflect on the trip.
She shared several clips from the extravaganza and wrote in the caption: “I have a lot to share from this incredibly wonderful and emotional weekend, but I still can’t put all my thoughts together.”
“All I can say now is that I am so grateful for our friends, our family and our lives,” she said in a short but heartfelt message.
In one of the images, she was wearing a lacy black dress and holding her firstborn, Luna, close to her.
In another photo she shared, she was wrapped in a towel while holding Esty and Ren on her lap while applying makeup.
The couple met when the model starred in John’s 2007 music video for his song Stereo. They dated for six years before getting married after John proposed in 2011.
In 2021, Chrissy and John lost their son Jack at 20 weeks of pregnancy.
She later revealed that her late son’s death was the result of a life-saving abortion and not a miscarriage as she initially stated.
She explained that she made the “difficult decision” to terminate the pregnancy after learning that neither she nor Jack were likely to survive without medical intervention.
