Actors getting close while filming films is not something special in the showbiz industry. Contrary to what the world might say about two leading male and female actors having some kind of romantic connection with each other, some actors often go beyond the stage and form strong friendships. The same thing happened with Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, as an actor, once said that his friendship with the actress reached the level of “sisterhood.”

After the release of the first Dune film, the two young actors made headlines as audiences were surprised by how the little stars shared the screen and carried the film on their shoulders. While talking with DiversityTimothée Chalamet has said his friendship with Dune co-star Zendaya has reached the level of brother and sister, calling her “sister.” Since they will both be seen in Dune 2, he said: “It’s amazing. She brought exactly what she brought the first time – which was incredible – but in greater abundance. And she really became a sister. I am so grateful to consider her a partner, a sister and a friend.”
Although both play on-screen lovers in Dune, the relationship between Chaleme and Zendaya suits their work. Even during press events for the film, the two showed how close they became through Dune, relying on each other for advice. Young actors found themselves in similar situations and gained incredible fame and recognition, preparing to take over Hollywood in the future. Interestingly, they didn’t meet until they arrived on the set of the sci-fi film Dune, but once they did, they developed a strong bond and friendship.
When will Dune: Part Two be released?
Unlike the first Dune film, the sequel will focus on the relationship between the main characters Paul and Chani. Director Denis Villeneuve said in an interview that the “epicenter of the story” will be around the characters played by Zendaya and Timothée Chalemet. The director praised the actors’ performances in the film as they brought emotion to their characters that would not have been possible without the off-screen equation.
