Insiders believe Los Angeles will find a way to draft LeBron James’ son Bronny

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has made it clear that he would like the opportunity to play in the NBA with his son Bronny, whether with his current team or another team.

However, Joe Walden of The Athletic reports that the Lakers are believed to find a way to draft Bronny James and keep the family in the Purple and Gold:

“James could become a free agent next summer if he declines his $51 million player option. This summer, his son Bronny suffered serious health issues that could delay his entry into the NBA draft, which could impact James’ free agency. The biggest factor is the player. He would like to be able to play on the same team as his son if possible, but even if Bronny enters the draft (he plans to play as a freshman at USC at some point this season), Most observers think the Lakers will find a way to make sure that happens in Los Angeles.”

Bronny James suffered cardiac arrest during a team practice with the Trojans in July. His father told reporters last month that the 19-year-old is healthy and ready to play for USC in the 2023-24 school year.

LeBron James is at the tail end of his storied career. Although he will turn 39 in December, he is still motivated to help the Lakers compete for a championship this season.

It will be interesting to see if Star is willing to let him return to Los Angeles next season with his son wearing the same jersey.
