It’s a Family Vacation as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Post Photos from Berkshire Sites Visits | Local news

John Legend’s visit to Tanglewood wasn’t strictly a business trip.

The singer-songwriter, along with wife Chrissy Teigen and two of the couple’s four children, spent part of Sunday visiting Berkshire County businesses and attractions before performing at the Koussevitzky Music Shed.

“Weekend in the Berkshires before back to school!” This is stated in a message from Legend on Instagram. Photos show the family enjoying their time here and visiting local businesses and destinations.

Teigen, whose Instagram account has 42.5 million followers, posted photos of the couple at stores in downtown Lenox.

The post included photos of Teigen carrying a bag of groceries from Loeb’s Foodtown at 42 Main St., sitting on the steps of Gifted Child at 72 Church St., and standing in front of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty at 34 Church St. holding on hand in hand with Legend.

Legend’s Instagram page, which has 15.8 million followers, also posted photos of the couple and their children spending time at High Lawn Farm in Leigh.

High Lawn Farm shared a photo posted by Legend of him and Teigen posing in front of a herd of Jersey cows. “Thank you for visiting this weekend!” the post says.

Bernie Fallon, who co-owns Loeb’s Foodtown with his wife Isabelle, said the store was busy on Sunday — “busier than James Taylor” — and he didn’t have a chance to chat with Legend and Teigen.

CONCERT REVIEW: John Legend gives it his all to Tanglewood - and it's worth the wait

“I was busy racing and running when I saw a beautiful family with their children in the middle of the aisle. One of the kids followed me,” Bernie Fallon said. “I turned around and they smiled again. This is the last time I saw them.”

According to Bernie Fallon, who he saw was not recorded until later.

“You know, I hate to say it, but I was aware of running the business and making sure everything was going well,” he said. “A couple of people came in today (Monday) and commented on it, which was cool.”

As for advertising a business with 42.5 million Instagram followers? “My wife loved it and shared it on her personal Facebook page.”

Still, Loeb’s, like other Berkshire businesses, sees its share of celebrity clients and doesn’t like to make a big deal out of their presence, Bernie Fallon said. “We want to come and enjoy the experience,” he said.

But it’s hard to hide a social media post that was seen by 42.5 million people, some of whom live right here. So among the comments on Tiegen’s post were lots of local tips, lots of suggestions for shops and eateries the family could visit next, and a few invitations.

“We will be glad to see you at the @mazzeos_ristorante dinner! A well-deserved Italian dinner after your performance,” said “Miagabriella.”

“Next time, check out @lenoxyoga,” the yoga studio suggested.

Getmecoffeestat wrote: “Check out @chocolatesprings while you’re here! Best chocolate in the area.”

“Jessicabgordon” advised “Go to @thebistrobox!!! This is the best burger you’ve ever tasted… (bold statement, but it’s true!)”

Several commenters suggested the couple try Loeb’s Leslie B sandwich, a roasted turkey and boar’s head topped with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, pesto mayonnaise and Havarti cheese. “This is our number one seller,” Bernie Fallon said.

“Abbyburns413” invited Teigen and his family to enjoy Legend’s performance at Tanglewood on the lawn. “Let’s go for a walk on the lawn where the party is,” she said.
