What can readers expect from Worthy?

In 2022, Pinkett Smith revealed that she was writing a book and it would be published by Dey Street Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. The press release for the book said it would be “honest and gripping.”

“At the heart of this powerful book are two unexpected love stories: one about Jada’s troubled marriage to Will Smith, and the other about herself,” the press release said.

In June, Pinkett Smith announced the title of the book and what it would be about.

“The fact that I have contributed to the creation and perpetuation of lies about myself over the past four years, which have spawned other false stories, has undoubtedly contributed to the misunderstanding that surrounds me,” she wrote on Instagram. “This fall, with deep humility and respect, I will take my story back.”
