After tumultuous years, couple Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith finally disappeared from the headlines for a moment when Jada Smith suddenly revealed that she and her husband have been living separate lives for almost seven years. Even though they are not yet divorced, the news came as a shock to many after the duo had repeatedly stated that they are stronger than ever even after some serious drama that took the internet by storm.
In an exclusive clip from her upcoming NBC News primetime special with Hoda Kotb, the actress revealed why she waited so long to break the news to the world, she said:
“Just not ready yet… Still trying to figure out how the two of us can be in a partnership… As far as how we present this to people? We didn’t understand that.”
Indicating the reason for the split, she said:
“I think we’re both still stuck in our fantasies of what we think the other person should be like.”
After pretending to be together for a long time, they were finally freed from the burden of keeping it a secret.

Jaden Smith had a hard time dealing with his secret
A source told the Daily Mail that sibling duo Willow and Jaden Smith were supposed to claim that their mom and dad had been together in public for the past seven years, even though that wasn’t the case. Thus, they were never given time to cope with such drastic changes in their lives. The insider said
“Although Jaden and Willow love their mom immensely and take on many of her behaviors and personality traits, they are thrilled that the news is finally out so everyone can just deal with it, no one is getting any younger. I want everyone to be true to themselves and not keep grudges and secrets anymore.”
They continued to state:
“Jaden and Willow hope that now that all the revelations have come out, everyone can heal and remove any drama that may still be present in their worlds. They saw the attacks that their mom received from all this and they really hope people can trust their mom in the future, they didn’t expect the negativity to come to their mom, but now that it’s happening, they want to get through it all as a family.” .
Now that everything is out in the open, both Willow and Jaden Smith are relieved.
