Family is always difficult, but when you Britney Spears AND Jamie Lynn Spears fraternal relations are clearly more complex, not to mention the morbid interest and speculation of the public.
In the past, Britney has accused Jamie Lynn of complicity in a legal defense that prevented her from managing her assets and personal life for almost 14 years, and the pop star did not invite her sister to her wedding with Sam Asgari. Both posted offensive messages on social media. However, to celebrate her birthday in December 2022, Britney posted some photos of her little sister on Instagram and paid tribute to her by writing: “You are my treasure and I think of you…congratulations for being so brave and inspiring.” (apparently the title of the post has since been changed).

In a new interview published diversity due to Zoe 102, the sequel to the Nickelodeon series that Jamie Lynn starred in as a teenager, the 32-year-old actor avoided questions about Britney. When asked what relationship she currently has with her older sister, Jamie Lynn replied that she has nothing but “absolute love for every member of my family.”
She continued, “If I’ve learned anything over the past year, it’s that uncensored performances have made me defensive at times, and I don’t feel like I need to say anything more. I just have to stop there, because these conversations are supposed to be private. Now I can only focus on my daughters, husband and work.”
Later, Jamie Lynn noticed that in a conversation with her 15-year-old daughter Maddy the rumors she might hear about Britney and the rest of the family reminds her to be proud.
“I tell her, ‘You should be very proud. See what your family has done and achieved. We come from a small provincial town and now everyone is obsessed with the good things (and especially the bad things) that we have done. But look at your example of a strong woman. You have something to be proud of, and you should be proud of it, ”said the actress. “And boys are boys, so I’m sure they do much more nasty things at school.”
Regarding the possibility of sharing the stage with Britney in the future, the actress said, “I don’t know. Now I think I want to focus only on myself and my projects.”
