The film is about Maddy Barker, a 32-year-old Uber driver and bartender who faces financial ruin and loses her car. Maddie finds an ad on Craigslist looking for a woman to “befriend” Percy, the shy 19-year-old son of a wealthy couple, to prepare him for college in exchange for their Buick. Although she is confused, she agrees and tries to seduce him, but without much success at first.
As they grow closer, Percy opens up to Maddie, begins to fall in love with her, and decides to change his plans for the future. Her parents are surprised and Maddie has to figure out how to change Percy’s mind again while trying to keep a huge secret from him while still struggling with her financial problems.
