One year after its inception, we are back to talking about trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: no appeal or new session in court though, this time the news is the release of a documentary which will retrace all the stages of the controversial affair.
According to what was reported by Deadlinesthe British broadcaster Channel 4 has put into production a docu-series on the case among his other particularly “provocative” titles. In addition to a show dedicated to the so-called Partygatewhich has shaken up British politics during the pandemic, will also come Depp V Heard (working title).

The series will mix courtroom footage, interviews and user-generated content to shed a 360° light on one of the events of the century from the point of view of entertainment reporting.
The process, we recall, was brought by the star of Pirates of the Caribbean against ex-wife Amber Heard: after a letter in the Washington Post in which the actress defined herself victim of domestic abuse, Depp’s career was severely affected. He was removed from franchises in which he was the protagonist or antagonist (such as Fantastic Beasts) and because of it he sued her for defamation.
At the end of the two-month process, on June 1, 2022 Johnny Depp won: Heard was found guilty and obliged to compensate him with a figure close to 10 million dollars. The actor was also convicted of defamation, but to a lesser extent. The Channel 4 documentary won’t be the first project to tell what happened.
