Joker: Folie à deux: Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix have finished the film

Everyone says good things are worth the wait, which is why we welcome the end of filming on Joker: Folie à Deux with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation. The director himself announces the last take Todd Phillips who, in a short post on Instagram, took advantage of the opportunity both to thank Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga for taking part in the project and for sharing with fans two new photographs of their characters, namely Arthur Fleck, better known as Jokerand Harleen Frances Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn.

Although filming has finished, we should wait quite a while before seeing the film at the cinema: the release date is, in fact, set for on October 9, 2024. As for the plot, we just know that the sequel will adopt Harley Quinn’s point of viewa psychiatrist at the hospital in which Arthur is hospitalized and who will help him escape, and will see the return of some characters such as Zazie Beetz’s Sophie plus the entry of several new entries, including Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener and Jacob Lofland.

Expectations, needless to say, are very high: the first Jokerreleased in 2019, was a success both of criticism what about public, capable of conquering a worldwide gross of over one billion dollars, one of the highest of all time. She has also received major accolades such as two Oscars and two Golden Globes, not to mentionthe Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival which we really hope will welcome this second chapter in 2024.
