Monterosso (La Spezia), August 12, 2023 – Monterosso to the sea, preparing to meet the second edition “Visionaries, the look of a woman”, review conceived and financed by the municipal administration, which focuses on the feminine universe, celebrating the role of women in history, art and society. This year, on the evening of Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August at 21:00 at Molo dei Pescatori, the relationship between the female figure and strength will be explored. This will be done by guests of the caliber of Agnese Pini, director of La Nazione, Il Giorno, Il Resto del Carlino and Quotidiano Nazionale, or Laura Boldrini, president of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights in the World.
“Last year,” explains Emanuele Moggia, the mayor of Monterosso, “at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, we made this consideration: look at how many war correspondents are at the front, whether this is a coincidence or special treatment. and sensitivities that push women to deal with difficult, hostile and dangerous environments? Thus was born the idea to invite women war correspondents who could develop this thesis, and the first event of the Visionarie, women’s view. The question that remained unanswered at the conclusion of this debate was: “If women around the world were in more leadership positions, would things be different? This year Visionaries starts right there, with this question.” It will begin on Friday, August 25, with a speech dedicated to the figure of a woman on the long road to emancipation: “From Resistance to the Constitution and beyond.” under the direction of Francesca Parmigiani, lawyer and Doctor of Constitutional Law, who for many years devoted herself to spreading the Constitution and fighting the Resistance in the schools. Daniela Brunelli, president of the Literary Society of Verona, Michela Ponzani, professor of modern history at the University will talk to her Tor Vergata from Rome, author and presenter of cultural programs, and Annachiara Valle, journalist for Famiglia Cristiana. The evening will provide an opportunity to raise awareness of the goals achieved and the steps yet to be taken to ensure effective gender equality in Italian society.
The second meeting with Visionarie, Saturday, August 26, will be a celebration of songwriting by women through the “theater song” show, in which Giulia Mutti, a Tuscan musician and songwriter, will be the protagonist, bringing to the stage four formidable artists of the caliber of Patti Smith, Nada, Lady Gaga and Gianna Nannini. Sunday, August 27, the latest review appointment investigates the relationship between women and power at the meeting: “Women of Power and Women’s Power.” Figures such as Laura Boldrini, Agnese Pini and Giada Zhang, CEO of the Mulan Group, will bring their expertise and will be moderated by journalist Tiziana Ferrario, a Tg1 face and foreign policy correspondent for many years. The evening will look at the challenges women face every day in leadership positions and the actions needed to overcome inequalities. Who knows, maybe during the debate a question will arise again, from which the third edition of the project will grow, which would like to involve the male universe in this dialogue, as Mayor Moggia says. In fact, true wealth comes not from opposition, but from understanding the resources and nuances of the other, from which new synergies and opportunities, respect and inclusion can be born.
