The healthy lifestyle guru looked like she was inspired by a Louis Vuitton ad campaign. Or maybe this Instagram post. Or this paparazzi shot. Or is it a pregnancy announcement.
This isn’t about pitting two mothers-to-be against each other, this is an opportunity to re-emphasize Rihanna’s influence on what famous people want to wear when they’re carrying a baby. Between the Tom Ford archive of the Gucci era and the Chanel archive, the musician rewrote the rulebook of motherhood because she dressed like – sigh! – someone who has not been pregnant. Why buy an elastic waistband when you can just unbutton your jeans with a damn déshabillé look?
