Kylie Jenner got into spooky season by wearing a look reminiscent of Winona Ryder’s goth girl from the 1988 film Beetlejuice.
The 26-year-old reality star looked sensational in a figure-hugging red dress at the Acne Studios spring/summer 2024 womenswear show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday.
For the star-studded event, she debuted a haircut with bangs, which she also showed off on her Instagram.
The bright blood red color of the dress and blunt bangs had fans comparing Kylie’s look to Lydia Deetz, Ryder’s favorite character from the film.
“This is the best way to give Beetlejuice,” a fan shared on Twitter.
Ryder’s Lydia was a brooding teenager in the whimsical world of dark comedy, which also starred Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara and Alec Baldwin.
With her dark outfit and fascination with the supernatural, Lydia stole the show and made her an integral part of the film’s charm.
The terrifying film grossed an impressive US$74.7 million at the box office and has since become a cult classic.
Both Ryder and Keaton, who played the title character, will reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel, which will be released in 2024.
Also along for the ride will be O’Hara and director Tim Burton, as well as newcomers Jenna Ortega and Justin Theroux.
The new film was just a day and a half away from filming when the SAG-AFTRA strike halted production as filming began in London in May amid a WGA strike.
“I’m grateful we got what we got,” Burton told The Independent in a recent interview.
“Literally a day and a half has passed. We know what we need to do. 99 percent done.”
Meanwhile, Kylie’s Beetlejuice-inspired ensemble was the talk of the town at Paris Fashion Week.
The eye-catching ensemble included a long-sleeve top and maxi skirt, which featured a playful ruffle at the bottom.
Kylie stunningly flaunted her famous figure in the sultry outfit, highlighting her height with stylish red pointed-toe stilettos.
The celebrity completed her look with a fashionable red handbag and vintage black sunglasses.
