Lakers: Dwyane Wade says Kobe Bryant wins title to lead Heat

The Lakers’ success in the late 2000s and early 2010s was clearly one of the driving factors behind Dwyane Wade and LeBron James forming a superteam.

The “what ifs” of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James reaching the NBA Finals would define that era of the league. The two had many opportunities to meet, especially in the early 2010s when the Lakers were winning the NBA championship and LeBron was building a superteam in Miami.

But interestingly, as Dwyane Wade recently revealed, the Lakers’ success led to the creation of the Heat.Tony Parker recently launched his own podcast called SKWEEK SHOW The opening ceremony was star-studded, including French singer Matt Pokora, French soccer legend Thierry Henry and new Hall of Famers Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol and Dwyane Wade.

During their conversation, Wade revealed what he was thinking while watching the final moments of the 2010 NBA Finals and how he called LeBron, ultimately leading the pair to join forces with Chris Bosh in Miami that summer .

There may be many motivations for the formation of the Heat, but Kobe and the Lakers reaching the Finals three straight years and dominating the league may have played a role in it. If nothing else, the three knew they needed to work together to overthrow them.

Unfortunately, Kobe never faced either Wade or LeBron in the Finals. That’s a shame considering where they rank not only in that era of basketball but in the history of the game.Rarely is the greatest player of a generation no Participated in the NBA Finals.
