Since Bronny suffered cardiac arrest in July, James has found comfort in seeing his son at Lakers games. Fortunately, his recovery is going well and he was even seen working out with his USC Trojans teammates on ESPN on Sunday. He has yet to see his college basketball debut at USC.
Bronny witnessed his father’s outstanding performance in the game against the Rockets. He scored 37 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. LeBron James said after the game that he understands that college students Bronny’s age can’t always see his family, but he’s happy when he gets the chance to see him.
“He was a great college student, and anyone who has a college student knows that they go away and you might not see them for a week or two,” James said. “But when they need clean clothes and want fresh meals, they show up at your house, and that makes me super happy.
After the Lakers defeated the Rockets, Los Angeles achieved an 8-6 record this season and ranked sixth in the Western Conference. Their next game will be against the Utah Jazz as part of the NBA In-Season Championship, with the Lakers currently sitting at 3-0 in the group stage.
