Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans among the best A big showdown with Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday in Boulder. Among the many people watching the game was Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who was pleasantly surprised when he saw the USC star quarterback playing a familiar game on the court.

The four-time NBA MVP must have loved the tribute paid to him by Williams, who finished the game with a stunning stat line. Williams outperformed Colorado State quarterback Shaddell Sanders, completing 30 of 40 passes for 403 passing yards and six touchdowns. Only one interception completely destroyed the Buffalo defense and eventually won 48-41. Sanders, on the other hand, was 30-of-45 passing for 371 yards with four touchdowns and a pick.
LeBron James has carried the image of “The King” since becoming a mainstream sports figure decades ago, and he certainly wouldn’t mind seeing the USC football star perform a royal celebration on the court in person.
To this day, LeBron is still considered sports royalty. He is considered a timeless wonder not only in the NBA but also in the sports world. In fact, he is preparing for his 21st season in the NBA. James is well aware of his longevity, and while his best days are clearly behind him, he’s still better than most players younger than him. Just last season, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 games for the Purple and Gold.
USC football remains undefeated
With Saturday’s win, the Trojans improved to 5-0 overall in the 2023 college football season, including three conference-game wins. USC football kicked off the Trojans’ Pac-12 schedule with wins over the Stanford Cardinal and Arizona Sun Devils before defeating Buffalo. Williams and the Trojans will face the Arizona Wildcats on October 7 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Williams once again looks to be a strong candidate for the Heisman Trophy this season. Playing like a king in Colorado football will certainly help his Heisman Trophy stock through five weeks.
