Lakers’ LeBron James wants answers about Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen yelled out Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James’ name in London, and now James wants some answers.

The Bills will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in an NFL game in London, England. In the second quarter, the microphone came on as the Bills quarterback yelled “LeBron James! LeBron James!” at the line of scrimmage. Clearly, sounds that change certain aspects of the game can be heard before kick-off.

That piqued the Lakers star’s interest. He accessed his X account (social media company formerly known as Twitter) What to ask Alan signaled.

“I wonder what Josh Allen means when he calls out ‘LeBron James’🤔. Haha😂” James asked his followers.

Of course, quarterbacks use a variety of words and phrases as part of their pre-reads. These phrases can be used to change part of a game, mark a completely new game, or indicate a snap count.

Former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning once used the term “Ohama!” before receiving the ball from his center. The slogan became so closely associated with Manning that he repeated it when naming his production company.

So what did Allen’s voice lead to? Honestly, nothing impressive. On the next play, Allen was pressured by OLB Travon Walker and passed an incomplete pass.

LeBron seemed flattered that Allen was using his name on an NFL field, but the Bills’ results were less LeBron-like. Despite Allen’s 359 passing yards, they fell behind 11-0 and never held the lead, ultimately losing to the Jaguars 25-20.

But now that Allen and the Bills have LeBron’s attention, maybe they can get the former wide receiver to pose with them before the Lakers season starts?
